For Individuals

You don’t need a plan. You need five minutes.

Here’s exactly what to do, in order.

1. Check your registration

Even if you’ve voted before, confirm your registration is current — especially if you’ve moved, changed your name, or haven’t voted in a few cycles.

Check my registration

2. Not registered yet? Register — or pre-register if you’re 17½

It takes about two minutes online. If you’re not yet 18 but will be by Election Day, you can pre-register now so it’s already done.

3. Make a plan

Decide now: are you voting early, absentee, or on Election Day? Look up your polling place before the day itself so there’s no last-minute scrambling. See our full deadlines calendar.

4. Tell three people

The single most effective GOTV tactic isn’t an ad — it’s a text from a friend. Send this page to three people you know. Ask them if they’re registered. That’s it.
